Roger Carey Non-executive Director
Roger Carey was a Senior Executive at MEPC plc before joining Slough Estates in 1983, where he subsequently became Group Managing Director in 1992. Roger is a non-executive director of the Ellis Campbell Group and was previously NED of TR Properties plc, Mapeley Ltd, Safestore Holdings plc. He is a Past President of the British Property Federation.
He was Chief Executive of Saville Gordon Estates plc and managed the growth of its investment portfolio of multi-tenanted industrial estates and oversaw the buy-out of the company in 2002 in conjunction with the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund. The company was renamed Industrious Ltd and he became Chairman. During 2004/5 he led the sale of most of Industrious’ assets to Brixton plc for £675m and was then became involved in the company’s residual activities. He stepped down in 2006.
When he isn’t exploring remote parts of the world on classic car rallies, Roger is Chairman of the Aston Martin Heritage Trust, a charitable organisation dedicated to preserving and enhancing the history of Aston Martin. When he isn’t busy with this he likes to explore far flung reaches on classic car rallies. This allows him to express his opinions and experience of Aston Martin outside of the home, much to the pleasure of his wife, Margaret.
